Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company
The Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company resides in the cities of Dresden and Frankfurt am Main, where it develops its activities in equal parts. The international choreographer Jacopo Godani is the artistic director of the company.
The company’s repertoire is defined, in large part, through the works of Jacopo Godani. His goal is to develop a new choreographic language that requires virtuosity and a physical and enveloping delivery. On this journey they will mix traditional heritage and contemporary thought, and give their ensemble a unique identity.
Its repertoire consists largely of choreographies by Jacopo Godani, although renowned guest artists such as Marco Goecke and Rafael Bonachela regularly create works for the company. Milestones of contemporary ballet, such as those by William Forsythe, are also preserved and performed.
