The Stuttgart-based company led by Eric Gauthier will present its new programme, ELEMENTS, in Seville on 12 April 2026. The evening features four choreographies – four moments of dance – each inspired by one of the four elements of nature.

This is the latest creation by Canadian artist Eric Gauthier, who has been at the helm of his own company at Theaterhaus Stuttgart for more than ten years. A numerically inspired concept, like the programme he once dedicated to the Seven Deadly Sins, ELEMENTS continues his spirit of collaboration with some of the most outstanding choreographers of our time, aiming to surprise audiences with every new production.

Among his most frequent collaborators is Mauro Bigonzetti, whose neoclassical choreography is dedicated to Earth. Sharon Eyal, formerly a member of the Batsheva Dance Company, draws on Fire to create a hypnotic, rhythmic and relentless work. Andonis Foniadakis builds his organic, kinetic and virtuosic piece around Water. Finally, Louise Lecavalier channels her nonconformist aura into Wind, delivering a choreography as visually striking and groundbreaking as the artist herself.

Four distinct artistic worlds presented in a single evening. It marks the first time Eric Gauthier’s company performs at the Teatro de la Maestranza with this programme, which premiered on 29 February 2024 at Theaterhaus Stuttgart.
